Meet Phil Eldredge

Hi, I'm Phil 🙂

I earned a B.S. in Construction Management Brigham Young University, Provo, UT.  December 1997.  After which I worked as an estimator, then superintendent for residential construction.  After September of 2001 hit, I found myself needing a change of career.  And went into the industry of another passion of mine, Investing and Finance.  I began in the personal finance industry with life insurance in 2002.  Then in 2006, I started at Fidelity Investments, and enjoyed a great 11 year career, moving up rapidly through the ranks and quickly achieved one of the highest planning positions at the firm.  After a total of 15 years of planning experience and a Designation of “Chartered Retirement Planning Consultant” (CRPC) from the College of Financial Planning I founded Blue Line Financial Management.  I put my extensive investment knowledge and training, the power of Charles Schwab brokerage services, ( the largest Investment Advisor platform that there is) , the best insurance companies available and the best planning tools to work for my clients.  Although in my heart I was still a builder. Simply put, I love to build, and I don’t even fully understand why, maybe there are others out there that feel like I do in that regard.  Somewhere along my way, I discovered that the process of creating an idea, critiquing it so it makes sense, then planning with precision and building, then seeing a beautiful and functional result I found very rewarding.  Even though my professional building days are behind me, I find many of the same principles apply in wealth building as building with brick and mortar.

Born in 1971 and raised in Denver Colorado.  In 1993 I met and Married Jennifer Haymond, Daughter of Robert Haymond and Phyllis Whiting, who was the daughter of Harold Whiting.  The same Whiting and Haymond that owned Whiting and Haymond Construction, who built many of Utah’s Highways in the ‘50s.  Harold Whiting also served as the president of the Utah AGC during those same years.
